The ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur, Rjasthan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the M/S. VISTA EN-ROOT Private Limited, Kanpur for the non-exclusive Licensing of Rapeseed-Mustard variety GIRIRAJ (DRMRIJ-31) today ie October 06, 2021. The MoU was signed by Dr. P. K. Rai., Director, ICAR-DRMR, Bharatpur and Mr. Akashdeep Singh representative of M/S. VISTA EN-ROOT Pvt. Ltd,, on the behalf of their respective organizations. In his address, Dr. P K. Rai stressed that the commercialization of high yielding new varieties shall help to bring more areas under the improved and promising varieties that can help to improve the prosperity of the farmers and will enhance the productivity of oilseed specially rapeseed-mustard in India. . On this occasion, Director informed to the representatives of private organization that directorate has also developed other high yielding varieties which are ready to License. The interested seed company may sign MOU for these varieties, except varieties directorate has also registered some traits specific germplasm which can also be shared in MOU mode. ICAR-DRMR has so far signed 17 MoUs with private seed companies under PPP mode for the benefit of the farmers. The officials of the PME, ITMU and ITMC were also present during the occasion
