A farmers Gosthi was organized on food and nutrition for the farmers under Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Program on 26 August 2021 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gunta Bansur. The information about food and nutrition, effects of nutritious diet, malnutrition and measures for prevention by growing of nutrition rich crops was discussed. The live telecast of this progamme was shown to the farmers at KVK premise. The Agriculture Minister Sh. Narendra Singh Tomar and Sh. Kailash Chaudhary addressed the farmers about the importance of nutrition in human life and motivated them to grow nutritious crops by giving them food and nutrition related information so that malnutrition found in women and children can be overcome. The farmers were inspired to maintain family nutrition and earn profit by growing horticulture crops with the new technology of fruit and vegetable production. Various techniques of plant protection were also discussed with the farmers. Under this program, the technology of spraying crops by drones was also demonstrated. A total of 50 farmers participated in making this program a success.
